Eight (8) things that are lowering my testosterone levels, discusses:
Testosterone is the male hormone that makes men masculine and naturally starts declining by about 1% every year after age 30.
- Stress increase cortisol development which lowers testosterone.
- Lack of sleep lowers testosterone when the same induction of cortisol is induced, as the body undergoes stress directly associated with lack of rest.
- Bisphenol A in polycarbonates plastics found in plastic water bottles. This was found in 90% of men who go to fertility clinics.
- Being overweight or obese increases estrogen in men.
- Dietary factors - soy, flax seeds, pepper mint & spear mint, vegetable oils, Canola oil, soy, soy bean oil and soy products.
- A low fat diet, low zinc, vitamin E & C.
- Alcohol consumption is bad for men whom desire to increase their 'T' levels.
- Asexuality - someone who dose not engage in sexual contact.
